Hip 001 - Simply A Flyer
b. f. by Merry Bay King, out of Flying Loose
IF to Laddie Luck
A very rare offering at auction indeed, the first horse on offer holds both Horse of the Year and Hall of Fame honors. She also earned the titles of Y7 Best Filly and Y8 Best Filly, Best Older Mare, and Best Grade One. This exceptional mare won a whopping 25 races in her three-season career, with 17 of those being HOTY. Her career highlight was a win in the Breeders' Cup Turf**. As a broodmare she's been a bit slow to start, with three foals to date. The first of those was Passionate Flyer, a horse that reached G1 status and won a handful of HOTYs. Her only other foal to race is the G5 juvenile Absolution. This mare is offered in foal to Valkyrie's homebred Laddie Luck, a grade one stallion that won 19 races including the Belmont Turf Classic**. He has one other foal, and none to race.
Hip 002 - Snow Snake
gr/rn. c. by Venom (CR), out of Blizzard Walk (CR)
A colt from foundation lines, Snow Snake is already accomplished as a three-year-old and could be a fantastic foundation racehorse and stallion for the right barn. He has won nine races to date, six of them HOTY, including a win in the Inaugural Spring Turf Sprinter Series's Nunthorpe Stakes**. He has also finished third in the first two legs of the Turf Triple Sprinter Crown. He's got a big career ahead of him, and definitely should not be overlooked!
Hip 003 - Achilles' Assault
b. c. by Positively Precious, out of Indian Darling
While Achilles' Assault has yet to be a showstopper on the track, he's got the makings to be something special! By the successful stallion Positively Precious, this colt is half to the likes of two-time Breeders' Cup winner Artemis' Glory, Red Wine Sprint** winner Ares, and G1 Aphrodite's Chant. This colt is the only foal of Native Flame daughter Indian Darling, who herself is half to such horses as Hall of Famer Sun King (sire of top juvenile Redoubtable), This Means War (sire of this year's Belmont Stakes** winner War of Redemption), Breeders' Cup Marathon** winner Fire Dancer (dam of Prince of Wales Stakes** winner Prometheus, and Van Guard (dam of HOTY winner Hecate). This is a recent, young pedigree that has a lot to give.
Hip 004 - Supernatural
gr/rn. f. by Dylan Himself, out of Santana Secret
IF to Cascabel
This mare is an exceptional offering as a Red Mile Champion and two-time second place finisher in a Breeders' Cup race. Aside from her own exploits, this mare has some success in her pedigree as well, being half to such horses as G1 Momentarily Herself, Y18 Horse of the Year Arctic Fox, and top miler/sprinter Coincidence. The mare has one foal, the three-year-old gelding Straton. If that wasn't enough to catch your interest, she is offered in foal to Queen's Plate** winner Cascabel. Aside from being a top HOTY winner himself, Cascabel is also royally bred, being half to the likes of This Means War (sire of this year's Belmont Stakes** winner War of Redemption), Y12 Dirt Horse of the Year Ashes to Ashes (sire of G1 Pele's Wrath), and Breeders' Cup F&M Turf Sprint** winner Summer Romance.
Hip 005 - Luna Crescente
dk b/br. c. by Abastor, out of Bella Luna
A royal, recent pedigree is on offer here in the form of a yearling colt out of Hall of Famer Bella Luna. The dam has only one foal to race, the gelding Bel Fuoco, who has recently begun to find his form on the track with three HOTY wins on the year and a recent second in the Breeder's Stakes**. The sire, Abastor, was a top turf runner (record unavailable) who also sired the top juvenile Dobhailen among others. Abastor is half to such horses as Hall of Famer Shenanigans. The extended family success would take far too long to list here, so take my word on it - this is an exceptional offering from a long line of successful horses, and you'd be crazy to pass him up.
Hip 006 - Rebound
b. c. by Royal Assassin, out of Great Drama
A lovely mix of proven and original lines, Rebound has proven himself to be a horse rising in the ranks. He recently hit G1, and is looking for a stable who can help take him to the next level. By a G1 son of Royal Red Richard, Rebound is half to such horses as HOTY competitor Wildcat King. Royal Assassin and his foals have shown a propensity for late-maturing success, and this colt should get even better at five. Through the dam he is half to the mare Greater Avalanche, who herself is dam of current top classic turf miler Mudslide.
Hip 007 - Coco Cabana
dk b/br. c. by Seattle Song, out of Fleet Goddess
This stallion offers the discerning breeder an excellent pedigree and wonderful connections. He was respectable himself on the track, winning a handful of HOTY races every year, but his pedigree truly makes him larger than life. Coco Cabana is out of Seattle Song (record unavailable), also the sire of two-time Breeders' Cup winner Mystical Melody (dam of G1 HOTY winner Roussong and Mother Goose Stakes** and CCA Oaks** winner Kallisto). Perhaps the even more exciting story is on the dam side, as he is out of the Hall of Famer Fleet Goddess and half to such horses as Breeders' Cup Distaff** winner Fire Goddess and Y17 Dirt Horse of the Year Fleet Street. Perhaps the most exciting thing about this stallion is that both sides of his pedigree are rather lightly bred, making him a rare, but well-connected, individual.
Hip 008 - Head Trip
ch. c. by Anodyne, out of Eternal Phantom
If you're looking to take a blueblood out of this sale, this colt might be it. While he has suffered from early-career racing setbacks at IRS before being reclaimed by SOPS, he's got all of the makings of a great racehorse if given the proper attention. And even if he doesn't find his stride on the track, his pedigree is absolutely certain to give him a stellar career in the breeding shed. Head Trip is by the Canadian Triple Crown winner and Hall of Famer Anodyne, who is also the sire of the gelding Straton. His dam, Eternal Phantom, is also a Hall of Famer, and has produced such horses as Breeders' Cup Juvenile** and Dirt Distance Series winner Aristaeus. Both parents are just starting out in their breeding careers, but they and this colt both have a lot left to give.
Hip 009 - Tuff E'Nuff
b. c. by True Enough, out of Dashing in the Firelight
A colt that has suffered horribly from under-racing throughout his career, Tuff E'Nuff has more to show before he's done. He is a G2 racehorse with plenty of back class, he just needs some TLC to get him into proper shape for a big six-year-old year. He is by the Hall of Famer True Enough, who has sired such horse as Hall of Famer Radiance, good producer Lusitania, Hall of Famer Euphoria, Breeders' Cup Juvenile** winner Incognito, HOTY runner Seems Legit, and top juvenile competitor Alethea. The dam, Dashing in the Firelight, has also produced horses such as Mother Goose Stakes** winner Flaming Confidenza. He is a good prospect both as a senior runner and as a stallion down the line.
Hip 010 - Flaming Confidenza
pal. f. by Confianza, out of Dashing in the Firelight
IF to Fleet Street
This pretty mare is an interesting offering as far as pedigree, and made exceptional due to covering sire. Confianza was a very interesting horse, having won the Kentucky Derby** and Preakness Stakes** despite a relatively short career. At stud he hasn't been very prolific, but did also produce Mochachina, a filly working her way through the ranks. The dam side of the pedigree can be read on Hip 009, which is a half to the current lot. The covering sire, Fleet Street, is a half to Hip 007, and the dam's side can be read there. Fleet Street is by the highly prolific Night Stalker, who sired numerous G1 runners, classic winners, and BC champions. Fleet Street himself was exceptional in his final season, finishing his year with a win in the Breeders' Cup Classic**. This will be her first foal.
Hip 011 - Genuine Risk
bl. c. by True Enough, out of Atalanta
Another poorly-raced project-type horse, Genuine Risk is a G3 that does have some back class and a nice pedigree! His sire information can be seen on Hip 009, so that's impressive enough, but his dam is also a very successful broodmare! While her records are unfortunately unavailable, she is also the dam of the most recent Canadian Triple Crown winner Odin, as well as the successful sprinter Proteus Prince. This colt has so much potential, and though he may not reach that potential on the track, he's got a ton to offer in the breeding shed!
Hip 012 - In My Remains
bl. c. by Impressario, out of Dark Sunrise
If you're looking for a horse that could absolutely hit the ground running, this could be your boy. In My Remains is a grade one horse with a ton of class, including wins in The Frankel Green Mile** and the World Colt Cup*. He has yet to start at four, but with fourteen wins under his belt, he only needs some sprucing up to prepare for a stellar five-year-old season. Impressario hardly needs an introduction with the number of G1, classic, and BC winners he's produced. He's both a Hall of Famer and Breeding Hall of Famer, and is well proven in the shed. The dam, Dark Sunrise, was herself a winner of the Breeders' Cup Ladies' Classic**, and this colt is by far her best to race. This is a great opportunity that you don't want to pass up!
Hip 013 - Running Through Fire
b. c. by Radiance, out of Cry Out Chaos
While this colt is definitely behind, he's got a pedigree that says he's definitely worth playing catch up with! This colt is a full brother to Mother Goose Stakes** and Dr. Fager Red Mile** winner Reflected In Water. Additionally, Running Though Fire is half to such horses through the sire as recent Mother Goose Stakes** and CCA Oaks** winner Radiant Heat, Mother Goose Stakes** winner Adrasteia, and G1 HOTY winner Radiant Silver. He is well connected, and just needs someone to give him the TLC he deserves!
Hip 014 - Truly Captivating
b. f. by True Enough, out of Naturally Charismatic
While this filly hasn't found the winner's circle often yet in her short career, she definitely has the ability to do so! The sire can be read about under Hip 009. The dam, Naturally Charismatic, was a decent runner, but has much more to offer in her pedigree. She is half to such horses as top sire The Rising (sire of Acorn Stakes** and CCA Oaks** Rise Me Gold, Breeders' Cup Juvenile** winner Rising Wonder, and Woodbine Oaks** and Wonder Where Stakes** winner Riot Act), Hall of Famer Wildly Natural (dam of Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf** winner Frosted Sunrise, top juvenile Wildly Waylaid, and Hall of Famer Pandora), Hall of Famer Born To Soar, and G1 Knight Rousseau. She could be a wonderful project!
Hip 015 - Noadiance
b. c. by Radiance, out of Noalla
Noadiance is a nicely-bred son of Radiance that reached grade one on the track. His sire can be viewed on Hip 013. The dam, Noalla, hasn't found a lot of success yet as a broodmare, but her foals also haven't truly been given a chance to run! This colt is a fresh outcross of a proven Hall of Famer and producer, and he has a lot to offer the discerning breeder!
Hip 016 - Dark Sunrise
bl. f. by True Enough, out of Queen of Hearts
IF to Born To Impress
Dark Sunrise is a mare with connections we're getting a bit used to seeing! The mare herself is a Breeders' Cup Ladies' Classic** winner, and reached grade one status. Dark Sunrise is the dam of successful Hip 012 In My Remains, among others. The sire, True Enough, can be read about on Hip 009. The dam, Queen of Hearts, is a Hall of Famer and Breeding Hall of Famer. She also produced such horses as Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint** and F&M Turf Sprint** winner Sugar Jayde (dam of So Sassy Sprint** winner Wings of Jayde and Debutante Stakes** winner Phaedra), A Royal Legacy (sire of HOTY winner Usurper and top juvenile Fly By Legacy), Hall of Famer Fleet Goddess (discussed on Hip 007), Belmont Stakes** winner Limitless Time (sire of Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile** winner Hysteria and G1 HOTY winner Lady Timeah), and the record-unavailable Heartless Revenge. The covering sire is Kentucky Derby** winner Born To Impress, who is a young sire with only one foal yet to race. He himself is very well-connected and offers a hefty pedigree (Impressario x Born To Fly) to back this lovely foal.
Hip 017 - Kiss The True Heart
b. f. by True Enough, out of Kiss The Current
IF to TDI Live This Lie
Kiss The True Heart reached grade two status during her racing career, and had her career high in a win in the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile**. The mare is the dam of four foals to race (as the yearling can be considered deleted due to inactivity), so she's still got a foal or two left in her, aside from her current pregnancy, to offer! She is the dam of G3 Hamlet, G1 HOTY winner Heart of Rio, G1 Tiny Dancer, and Bonsaia, whose link I could not find and may no longer exist! The sire can be viewed on Hip 009. The dam, Kiss The Current, had no other foals still part of the game. The covering sire, TDI Live This Lie, is from old and rare lines. He is also the sire of horses such as G1 HOTY winner Excalibur's Stone, up-and-comer Exotic Dancer, and Woodbine Oaks** winner Animatia.
Hip 018 - Santana's Moment
b. f. by Barely A Moment, out of Santana Secret
This lovely mare has had a number of foals, but she's still got a few left in her! While she did little on the track, she ha produced G1 HOTY winner Radiation Therapy, Cigar Red Mile** and Dubai World Sprint** winner Coincidence, G3 Louisiana Blues, HOTY-winning juvenile Admiration, and G1 HOTY winner Momentarily Herself. This mare is open and suitable for a Y20 mating! Santana's Moment is by Y17 Sire of the Year Barely A Moment, who also sired such horses as Belmont Stakes**, Ohio Derby**, and Dubai World Marathon** winner Barely Smokin', G1 HOTY winner Barely A Sound, Preakness Stakes** winner Sizzling Dawn (dam of multiple Filly Red Mile races Akanksha and Bison City Stakes** and Starshine Sprint** winner Icarus Flight), and Preakness Stakes** winner and 4-time BC runner-up Uno Momento. Santana Secret, the dam, is also the dam of horses that include Hip 004 Supernatural and Y18 Horse of the Year Arctic Fox. This mare is quite the gem!
Hip 019 - No Wonder
ch. f. by Merry Bay King, out of Mystical Sunrise
IF to Foolish Lad
While this mare didn't do much at all on the track, she has a proven pedigree and is also a very proven producer! No Wonder is the dam of multiple classic and Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf** winner Rising Wonder, G1 Black Magic, and the lightly raced One Might Wonder. She is offered in foal to Foolish Lad, who has sired such horses as Preakness Champion Stakes** winner Wire Tap, Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf** and Cotillion Stakes** winner Scintilla, Dubai World Marathon** winner Call of the Wild, and Belmont Turf Classic** winner Laddie Luck. As far as pedigree goes, No Wonder is sired by Hall of Famer and Breeding Hall of Famer Merry Bay King, who has sired a large number of classic winners, Hall of Famers, and Breeders' Cup winners. The dam, Mystical Sunrise, has also produced such horses as Preakness Champion Stakes** winner Helios, Hall of Famer Cyclonaria, and top turfer Abastor (records unavailable, sire of top juvenile Dobhailen).
Hip 020 - Flight Risk
gr/rn. f. by GS Ultimate Challenge, out of Flight of Fancy
This pretty filly has had a fairly slow start, but she's got a lot of improving left to do! She is by GS Ultimate Challenge (record unavailable), who also sired such horses as Duchess Stakes** winner Coveted Faith, good producer Xalbadora (dam of Kentucky Derby** winner Samaritan Hero and good HOTY juvenile Xantalis), and Silver Tide (dam of Belmont Stakes** winner Bold Trick, and G1 HOTY winner Wild Tide). The dam, Flight of Fancy, is a Breeding Hall of Fame inductee. She's also the dam of horses including G1 HOTY winner In Front, Queen's Plate** winner Casualty of War, Breeders' Cup Turf** winner Devil's Flair, G1 Immortal Flight, G1 Comeuppance (sire of G1 HOTY winner Baciami, top mare Lissome), and G1 HOTY winner SmashDashing. This pedigree alone is worth a look as a future prospect!
Hip 021 - Alnitak
ch. c. by Euphorion, out of Night Goddess
This colt may not be flashy, but he's had an incredibly respectable start on the track! Sporting two wins and some HOTY experience, this colt has a big career ahead of him. Alnitak is by Euphorion, a royally-bred son of Merry Bay King, and is a young sire just finding his feet! The dam, Night Goddess, is also a young mare (record unavailable), by the top sire Grand Silence. This colt is the first foal for both of his parents, so this is a pedigree leg just waiting to be proven!
Hip 022 - Coventry
b. c. by Gallant Knight, out of Cry Out Chaos
This yearling is by one of the most exciting modern stallions around, Gallant Knight. Gallant Knight has also sired such exciting horses as Prince of Wales Stakes** and Breeders' Stakes** winner Gala Royale, Kentucky Derby** winner Gallantry, and HOTY winner Bellona. That's two different classic series, over two different surfaces! The dam, Cry Out Chaos, can be read about on Hip 013. This is a very exciting prospect, and definitely deserves some serious consideration!
Hip 023 - Scintilla
bl. f. by Foolish Lad, out of The True Fallen For
This young mare is a prime offering, and is being offered open and suitable for a Y20 foal! Scintilla is by Foolish Lad, who can be read about on Hip 019. The dam, The True Fallen For, the dam, reached grade one level on the track and also produced such horses as Duchess Stakes** winner Peacebreaker, Turquoise Sprint** winner Loud and Clear (dam of HOTY winner Windfallen and good HOTY juvenile Devilishly Charming), and G1 HOTY winner Patriot. Scintilla is the dam of one foal that has yet to race.
Hip 024 - A Royal Legacy
b. c. by Merry Bay King, out of Queen of Hearts
This stallion has a lovely pedigree and a nice produce record even though he wasn't much on the track! He is the sire of HOTY winner Usurper and top juvenile Fly By Legacy, as well as two unraced juveniles. A Royal Legacy is aptly named, being the son of Hall of Famer and Breeding Hall of Famer Merry Bay King, who has produced an exceptional number of classics winners, Hall of Famers, and top producers. The dam, Queen of Hearts, can be read about on Hip 016. This is a lovely stallion that could add a lot to any string!
Hip 025 - Tears No More
b. c. by Cryin' Out Loud, out of Foxtrot
This stallion if from a very interesting line, and can effectively be considered a blank slate as both of his foals can be considered deleted! Tears No More reached grade one status on the track, winning a spattering of HOTY races over the years. Tears No More is a full sibling to the mare Dry Your Tears, who was a successful HOTY horse. The sire, Cryin' Out Loud, does not have records currently available. However, he is a Breeding Hall of Famer and also the sire of such horses as G1 HOTY winner Sophie's Voice (dam of Breeders' Cup Juvenile Sprint** winner Borealis and good HOTY juvenile Carnal Nature), Turquoise Sprint** winner Loud and Clear (dam of HOTY winner Windfallen and good HOTY juvenile Devilishly Charming), G1 HOTY winner Phantasm Frost (sire of good HOTY juvenile Zephyrus), HOTY winning sprinter Stiletto Allure (records unavailable), Hall of Famer Tears of an Angel (dam of top 3yo sprinter Unbroken), and G1 HOTY winner Tears Of Blood (sire of HOTY winner Insouciant). While the stallion is exceptional on his own, the dam is also a showstopper! Foxtrot is the dam of horses that include G1 HOTY winner Swing Dancer, Red Mile Champion Foxy Passion, and HOTY-winning juvenile Deceptive Darling. This pedigree packs a wallop, so don't overlook him just on his race record!
Hip 026 - Just a Song
b. f. by Justa Muffin, out of Bluebell Sonnet

This mare is lightly raced but had a wonderful five-year-old season to help make up for it. She is the dam of one foal so far, a yearling by Apollo Bear. Hip 027 - Indian Darling
b. f. by Native Flame, out of Strike The Win
IF to Hokum
While this mare was discussed on Hip 003, she is nice enough that she deserves a recap! The mare herself is a G1 HOTY winner, and was fairly consistent for most of her career. She is the dam of one foal, seen above. Indian Darling is by Native Flame, making her half to such horses as Hall of Famer Sun King (sire of top juvenile Redoubtable), This Means War (sire of this year's Belmont Stakes** winner War of Redemption), Breeders' Cup Marathon** winner Fire Dancer (dam of Prince of Wales Stakes** winner Prometheus, and Van Guard (dam of HOTY winner Hecate). Strike The Win is also dam to such horses as Winning Touch (dam of G1 Fire It Up and Bison City Stakes** winner Winning Fire), G1 HOTY winner Awestruck, top HOTY miler Key West, and Breeders' Cup Juvenile** runner-up Charmed Weapon. This pedigree more than speaks for itself, and yet you get a value-added deal! This mare is offered in foal to Hokum. While he suffered a regrettably short career after an exceptional 3yo season, this HOTY winner has a lot to offer as a young stallion. He is also the sire of G3 Hamlet, Maryland Derby** winner French Quarter, and juvenile Angel Of Mercy.
Hip 028 - Lady Timeah
dk b/br. f. by Limitless Time, out of Lusitania
IF to GS Royal Crown
This mare was something of a late bloomer, but her last year on the track was definitely one worth waiting for. This mare has no current foals on the ground, which means she still has a lot left to offer! He sired only one other foal still in the game, being the multiple classic and Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile** winner Hysteria. b. f. by Merry Bay King, out of Flying Loose

The sire, Cryin' Out Loud, does not have records currently available.
